Recruitment of PhD Students
University of Gothenburg:
Doctoral student in AI for Software Engineering
The goal of this project is to study, develop, and evaluate large language models (like GPT-3/4) in software development, with a focus on programming and software design. We will study how these large language models can help the contemporary software industry become more productive and competitive globally. We will develop new technology that will help software engineers use large language models that can include advanced design concepts in their responses (e.g., design patterns). We will study opportunities and obstacles and construct new tools and methods to overcome them.
Mälardalen University, Västerås:
Safe and secure partitioning of applications on edge computing nodes
The PhD student will focus on ensuring safe and secure partitioning of applications on edge computing nodes. This is particularly important for applications with safety and timing-critical requirements, deployed in resource-constrained edge environments. The project aims to develop monitoring and policing techniques to guarantee that multiple applications can run concurrently on shared hardware without interference, ensuring that each receives the necessary computing capacity and remains unaffected by resource contention or malicious activities.
Mälardalen University, Västerås:
Process & Product Assurance and Legislation Compliance
The PhD student will contribute to advancing the state of the art in knowledge engineering in the context of Process & Product Assurance and Legislation Compliance. The research focuses on (i) developing ontology-based practices for legal compliance and assurance, (ii) developing ontology design patterns for process and product compliance and assurance; (iii) developing competency-driven query mechanism for legal compliance and assurance; and (iv) applying the findings on industrial case studies.
